1941 Norseman Restoration Project
HELP TO PRESERVE SASKATCHEWAN AVIATION HISTORY! ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN.
Our 1941 Noorduyn Norseman MKIV (RCAF #2471) s/n 44, was donated in its very skeleton and disassembled state. While we have most major components, parts and pieces, restoration of this once mighty workhorse is underway. However with all our projects they only come to fruition as financial funding and donations allow.
Restoration, or rebuilding vintage aircraft, like the Norseman is like assembling one really big puzzle bringing many pieces together. Our faithful volunteers have sorted the parts, are rebuilding and repairing while assembling the wood stringers of the fuselage while it awaits its new fabric covering (skin). The art of fabric covering however is one that takes time and patience and we are grateful for our volunteers that are taking this on. This is just one of the many steps in this restoration.
